If your goal is just to get DMX signals from a computer to some fixtures and you're not set on using MA, this is neither the smallest or cheapest solution. But if you are an MA user, it might be an under-rated approach.
The main drawback for my use-case is the DIN rail form factor - I would have preferred a standard rack-mount case. This is out-weighed by the benefits in my opinion:
- Much better availability, no lengthy back-orders.
- PoE as standard.
- A full 4096 GrandMA 3 OnPC parameters, and I believe this is the cheapest way to do this.
This node only has 2 DMX outputs, but the remaining parameters can be output over any non-MA ArtNet or sACN node, or using relatively less expensive (and more available) non-OnPC MA nodes.
In summary, highly recommended.
