Zultan 8" Raw Mini Hi-Hat

The sound is okay! Works good as an effect small trashy hihat. I use it sort of like Benny Greb as an auxiliary hihat-type short trash sound on a modded cajon-kit with a real snare drum. After fiddeling a bit I think it works best with the o-zone part on the bottom side. Tried it also with another 8” splash stacked in between. Not overwhelming but totally usable sound.

It’s also refreshing to experiment with groove patterns using two different closed hihat sounds in a regular kit. And the small size makes it easy to find room for it around the kit, like where you normally would place a cowbell for example.

So, all in all happy with the purchase. Keeping it around. Worth it if you want to try something new.
