If you have the extra buck, and feeling interested in a challenge, get this instrument. It is quite a challenge to play and has a different sound than you would expect but it does resemble a soprano sax. The plastic is surprisingly, good quality and the keys feel very sturdy. The main issue is that it is hard to master intonation and precision so a lot of exercise is necessary in order to fully enjoy this instrument. I recommend swapping the stock plastic reed with a nice wood reed to get a more familiar feeling and touch. The plastic reed is harder to play than a real reed. This instrument is marketed as a casual wind instrument, but I believe that you can play seriously on this if you have great patience.
If you are a beginner, get a cheap soprano sax instead of this since it is not a substitute.
