Thank goodness violins are beginning to catch up with the modern world. For so long twisting a 'stick in a hole' has been the crude tuning method used on Violins, Violas etc. These Wittner Tuning Pegs make tuning so easy and accurate. Very easy to fit to a standard modern violin and with care and a router easy to fit to an older 'non standard instrument'. (I had to re cut the holes to the correct taper in my son's vintage violin). I realise the 'traditionalists' will 'huff and puff' at using these tuning pegs on an old quality violin but they have no effect on the sound quality of the instrument, make tuning much much easier, and allow you to fit a quality tailpiece without those sound altering string adjusters, so what's not to like?
