V-Picks Red Rocker

Bingo! I've been searching for the ultimate pick for years, and there have been many candidates. I've nailed it down to a traditional standard shape 1,5 mm thickness, and the recent favourite was the Dunlop Sculpted Standard Primetone 1,5 mm. I hadn't tried an acrylic pick (I think) so based on the description I gave this a try, and I'm extremely happy that I did! Nice full-size with a tip that is just right, and not too pointy. The sound is rich and balanced, and avoids the shrillness or "ping" of heavy graphite or polycarbonate, but is more distinct than tortex or delfin. As such it's very close to premium ultex but the feel and grip of these and, I assume, the durability, is superior. So the price tag seems quite reasonable. A new favourite!
