Thomann DeLight Case Bassoon

A bassoon case which has room for everything I need. The outer compartment is wide enough to fit multiple folders of sheet music, the included bocal case is really nice and there is a meshed pocket (good for ventilation) which fits a reed case like the protec 5pc one perfectly. I can even fit a collapsible sheet music stand in the outer pocket when needed. (Or a compact umbrella!) The upper outer pocket has enough space for a strap and the most essential reed tools and inside the case there is room for all the cloths and the model allows for both regular and "gentleman's" model. This fact even let me construct a low a extension which fit inside the case (although practicality was priorised over acoustics, I have seen low a extensions with a bulbous shape for better sound quality which obviously wouldn't fit). There is also a rain cover included!

All in all, perfect for everyone who need to bring their bassoon on a bike!

One star off in quality because the Thomann sticker fell off immediately (I don't care), the outer compartment cover is prone to scratches and the fabric on the edges of the case have become a bit "frizzy" after one year of use.

Edited to say that this was not a success unfortunately, the plastic front was not properly attached so it had to be sent back. Shame as the case was lovely. I didn't want a replacement as thought it might happen again outside of the free return period.
My child wanted something easier to carry to school and orchestra etc. This is much more affordable than many better known brands and gives much more protection than original case. Seems comfortable to carry, with plenty of storage, nice crook case. Not tested the waterproof cover yet but hopefully it helps. Very pleased with it so far, hopefully zips etc last. Would have been nice if it had coloured zip pulls to remind younger ones to check zips fully done up! Fits a Fox plastic bassoon well.
