Have three of theese to mic the toms on my drumkit. Works well after a little modification (i've put a bracket between the clamp and the plastic arm to be able to change angle for the microphone).

The postitive:
- Clamps really well to the hop on toms. I have had no issues with the clamp falling off no matter how hard i hit the toms.

The negative:
- Depending on the size of used microphone the angle towards the drumhead gets to much or to small. For example, to get a SM57 to point towards the drumhead it touches the drumhead. I guess this is not an issue with a smaller microphone.
