These have actually been very nice. I use them for my KRK Rokit6 placed on Millenium BS500 (speaker stands).

They separate the speaker box (essentially the bass) from the stands, which lessens the sound spill to your neighbors through the floor, which is a nice gesture when living in an apartment building :)

Instead that sound goes to your room where you want it.
Also it comes in two parts, one slightly angled, and depending on how you place these two on top of each other (you can have it backwards etc.) you can angle the speakers toward your ear.

Remember that to really get what you want out of a pair of studio monitors (an audio sweetspot at the location of your head) you need to position them with care (height and angle)

I've used these and my millenium speaker stands for that, something else might work better for your specific setup.
