These pickups gave new life to my 84' Tokai Goldstar Sound. I'm not a vintage buff but very keen on getting a dynamic, percussive clean sound that responds well to my playing. First reaction was the middle pickup: I had hardly used the position on that guitar, now I didn't reach for the switch the first hour of playing. The attack, response and twang sounds like you and the way you play it. Neck pickup same thing with more classic Hendrix vibe. The bridge pickup is, according to lots of reviews, the weak link in this setup but I disagree: it's the same pickup (as neck and middle) and in my guitar it sounds perfect. I had no problems balancing the output and it's sounding very classic, perfect for country, blues, pop, old progressive and classic rock. I think these pickups delivers the sound of your guitar, if it's a good sounding guitar they will showcase it.
