SE Electronics VR2 Voodoo

Sounds great for micing amps. It's not really super versatile, at least not for the stuff I'm recording, it's more like a specialised tool. For electric guitars it delivers a killer sound that really stand out in the mix. It's a great addition for a toolbox of mics that already include small and large condensers, as well as good dynamic mics. The build quality feels really robust, it's a great entry level ribbon mic as it uses phantom power. I'm sure I will be using it for years to come.
