Ive been using the rovner star on both alto and tenor sax in preference to all my other ligatures for a few years now. It is very cheap compared to many others but cheap doesnt mean bad here. It gives a lot of variety of sound depending on how deep you place it on the mouthpiece and you also have the option of turning it upside down for a brighter sound more like a metal mouthpiece sound. It is very durable and shows no signs of wear even after years of use. This is my go to ligature and for a very cheap price i would recommend it to anyone, beginner or more advanced players. Thanks Thomann, great deal again
