Rivera RockCrusher Recording

After getting a Marshall 1959 HW, I was in the market for a quality load box that would also function as a direct to DAW recording solution for a 100W+ amp head. I was lucky to team up with my local store and try out quite a few of the models on the market before committing to buy; Torpedo, Palmer UAD OX to name a few. For the most part, all of them delivered, although there was a slight mechanical noise from every model I tried except for the UAD OX and the Rivera Rock Crusher. This was a bit of a game changer as the unit will be pretty close to my monitors in the studio. After a call to the US staff to make sure it could handle my amp, I go the product from Thomann. I'm super glad I did my homework on this one and got the largest unit with passive cooling, ie no noise. Big ups to Rivera on this product, one of my best investments for sure - pure boutique power! Note: this unit is for attenuating really loud amps only, no IR etc.
