It's a DI-box, the only thing I expect from it is to capture the DI-signals of bass and guitar, send a pass through signal over to an amp, and that's it. It does this very well. With guitar the pass through signal is to my ears completely clean, with absolutely no coloration or deterioration of the sound. The captured DI signal is also perfectly clean, and passed through a reamp box back to an amp, indistinguishable from the original sound coming from the amp. I have not yet tried reamping bass, but considering my very hot guitar pickups still left plenty of headroom, I doubt bass would peak with the pad engaged either.
Since it's powered through phantom power, there is no need for a power supply, something I find very practical.
The build quality seems to match other Palmer products in this range: very likely indestructible with normal use and abuse.
The price is good.
The functionality meets my every demand.
The design is straight forward.
It does everything as promised, and it does it well. I have no complaints what so ever, just buy it.
