I tried four of these and returned them all, because I just couldn't find a use for them. But I still give them five stars, since they deserve no less - these are great cymbals!
It's all just a matter of taste and style.
All Paiste cymbals are very special. They have an extended high end that cuts through dense guitar wallls in a way no other cymbals do. If you play loud rock, play Paiste! There are plenty of lines to choose from, but I would suggest the standard signature line, or the 2002 line. Adding a small crash from the fast signature line like this one as an accent crash makes perfect sense too. Feel free to mix and match different Paiste lines. But stick with Paiste if loud rock is your thing, there's none better for the job!
But that's not me.
I play more gentle and quiet music, and I need darker cymbals that scale down in volume and sound organic and natural when hit softly. And Paiste cymbals absolutely suck at that!
I will never by another Paiste cymbal again. But maybe YOU should! ;-)
