The MXR Mini ISO Brick was my first power supply that I ever bought and right from the start I was impressed.
The box included different adapters, power cable and connecting cables to all the pedals. The switch at the short side with the possibility of changing voltage is a nice touch and comes in very handy when using pedals with a higher power demand. Having owned a few mxr pedals to this day, this one is very similar to stompboxes in having very bright lights. Take it as you want, but for me it wasn’t really a necessary feature (it is still a personal peeve of mine concerning mxr products). However, it won’t matter if you put it under your Pedalboard.
A big positive of this power supply is, of course, the size. You won’t find a better power supply in this size. It is very easy to transport, fits under practically every pedalboard and takes away no space at all. The 5 individually isolated outputs also results in a quiet and hum-free sound.
The reason for which it receives only five stars is because the power supply gets really warm. Depending on where you place it, this could be of greater or lesser importance.
I recently got rid of it and bought a truetone 1spot cs7 because of the high voltage demands of my hx stomp. But since I sold the hx stomp, I sold the cs7 and now I have downgraded to a smaller pedalboard and am looking forward to my next power supply, Harley Benton’s equivalent to the mxr mini iso brick.
Overall a great product that will result in a quiet and practical playing experience!
