The metal construction of this microphone arm exceeded my expectations, the product wasn't that expensive after all. Plenty of joints and screws that allows the user to position the microphone just right. The built-in XLR cable comes in handy too, however, the cable was dented/jagged right out of the package and it's stuck there unless you cut it off.
The cable is positioned inside one of the metal bars and exits through small holes at joints. These holes do not have any protective coating, they're simply covered in black paint. Over time, as you keep re-positioning the arm, the cable will become more and more dented, eventually breaking.
On the plus side, the rubber coating of the cable looks good and feels good - I don't think it'll break in the near future. I'm happy with this microphone arm so far.
