In this case you definitely get what you pay for. Bought this to use at my little "desk studio", to mount an SM58 for vocals. It does the job, but I can't help being reminded that I went for a budget choice;
- Articulation of the arm feels like it could be smoother, now it's a bit twangy and stiff.
- Despite the above, it struggles with the weight of heavier mics. Especially the rotating head which mounts the mic clip, which tends to require some fiddling to secure it in position.
...but on the plus side;
+ The (almost) all-metal construction is sturdy as hell. This thing will never break from casual home use.
+ As an extra bonus, the kit included options for a fixed mount and a screw-on table mount.
+ Microphone cable is built into the arm, which is convenient. Though it doesn't have a lot of slack, so longer mics need to be placed almost flush with the clip.
To summarize; if you have a couple of extra bucks to spend, go for a more professional model, but if you're on a tight budget - don't hesitate to get this one.
