After owning a Harley Benton about 9 years ago, which didn't impress me much, I was a bit hesitant to buy this one. But I took the plunge anyways, because it's very cheap and I wanted to try out a T-style guitar to see how it feels.
HB has apparently improved greatly the last few years, because I'm impressed with what I got. The guitar feels very high quality, comparable to something in the €300 range. The finish is really well done and the materials feel pretty solid over all.
Sound-wise it has about what you'd expect from a single coil equipped guitar, bright clean sounds in the bridge pickup, and a more round and fuller sound in the neck. Pickups are of decent quality, but nothing super special. But then, you wouldn't expect anything mind-blowing either.
The rest of the hardware is adequate, certainly good for what it costs, but again, nothing special. Tuners are better than I expected, though.
Really, the few flaws this has can be fixed by the user. The frets are a bit rough and could use a little sanding, but they're even and without any dead spots. String height can be set a bit lower, which is advisable as mine was a slight bit too high for my taste. Mine came with the truss rod set really well, but if yours don't, there's an included key for adjustments.
Really, just completely speechless at how much you can get for so little money. With a little bit of setting up, this is a really solid and well made guitar.
