Sounds good but some embarrassing flaws

I bought the guitar for my left handed 8 year old son as his first. Since I'm right handed I can't really test play the guitar, but we've done some practicing together.

The finish is very nice and shiny without any notable imperfections. It sounds great, no buzzing.

The lettering on the head is however upside down (no one at the factory realizes that a left guitar is turned the other way when playing). Doesn't matter, but still annoying. The volume knob is numbered in the wrong direction (10 is silent, 1 is loud) - is that also a right-left-issue?
It's rather imprecise when tuning, takes a lot of adjusting up and down.
The bands have somewhat rough edges that scratches the finger.
