I got this bass a couple of weeks ago and most of the rewiews said it was perfect out of the box - but it was not.
However I did not expect that at this price and every guitar/bass needs some setup to be done if you order it by mail, expensive or not..
The string action was way to high and by the time I was done making it nice and low I had to adjust the neck a little and fix the intonitation a little as well.
The stock strings sounded muddy, almost like flatwound so I replaced them at once.
There was a some sharp edges on half of the frets that needed 30 minutes of work with 180 sand paper.
Anyway - after about two hours of setting up, sanding I've got an amazing bass!
The sound is absolutely perfect! I can get pretty much any sound I want out of this bass and it feels fantastic to play.
Sure, it's a little bit heavy but get a good strap or visit a gym..😉
Insane value for very little money!
One year later..
This is now my absolute favourite bass and I just need to mention one thing:
The height of the pickups makes a HUGE impact to the sound.
So before you start to look for upgrade pickups - mess around with the ones you have, the sound you're looking for might just be one turn with a screwdriver away..
