I own an older version of the EX-84 and loved that from the start. I decided to get this one as I really liked the new body design and the new headstock.
The guitar is much lighter than expected, but not to the point of dipping. The body is quite small, very comfortable. Neck is wonderful, chunky but feels very nimble. No high frets or sharp fret ends, all frets polished and not scratchy. Tuners are great, holds tuning very good and has no play in them. Pickups are monsters, and for the type of music the guitar is designed for will give you everything you want. Pots work well, and feel solid. Finish is spotless.
The bad? Switch has play in it and feels on the verge of breaking out of the box. Input jack is "bouncy" for a lack of a better word when inserting cable. Both jack and switch works though, without problems, and both are easy and cheap to replace if necessary.
In short, a beast of a guitar for a very affordable price.
