Out of the box, the guitar is completely flawless, as regards to finish and build. Very carefully packed as well.
It has a beautiful distinctive sound that’s very rich and the guitar sustains forever. It intonates better than most electrics and as good as my two Taylors. Single notes ring out gorgeously with a hint of overtone bloom actually. It’s really unbelievable, regardless of price.
Speaking of price, I would have payed a whole lot more, should the money go to the factory workers. As of now, there aren’t many alternatives when it comes to tenor guitars. Vintage Martins are pretty scarce and expensive. Good luck getting one of those play as well. Sadly, the price we pay is probably minimum wages for Chinese workers. Consequently, I’ll cherish and play this instrument in honor.
Summing up, this is a fine instrument, sharing similarities to Taylor in terms of its precise build and sharp lines. It will get its own mojo and personality but it will take a while. So play it.
