I have been playing it for about six weeks now and I must say I am amazed how well it plays. I use the clawhammer technique for old timer tunes.
As with most new instruments it needed some initial adjustments, like moving the bridge back a bit and adjusting the skin tension. After that it the intonation was fine.
This particular banjo had obviously missed the final assembly check since it came with a lot of loose screws in the drum head. No big deal to fix that but it is worth noting that if I had not seen it the banjo head would probably have broken quite soon.
Quality wise this is a fairly good banjo. Nothing out of the ordinary but easily comparable to the more known brands low end banjos. No sharp frets, no fret buzz. Just plain fun.
