Grover Rotomatics are lovely and smooth in operation and the high gearing ratio allows accurate tuning. They are a drop-in replacement for the Gibson Deluxe tuners - those with screw-down collars - but guitars with press-fit bushes will need the holes reamed out to fit.
One word of caution. As a guitar repairer I see a lot of Gibson guitars with broken headstocks and it seems to me that a high proportion are fitted with Grover tuners. I believe that the greater mass of these tuners adds inertia to the headstock so that it may be more prone to break in a fall, even whilst in the case.
I have an Ibanez ES-50 bought in 1982. The machine heads were pretty worn out and started affecting tuning so I decided to replace them. Getting original's was proving to be difficult so I bought a set of Grovers. I don't know if they will last 40 years and will never know! Grover have always had a good reputation for quality products and I can confirm. They've brought new life to my Ibanez. Tuning is precise and the mechanism is smooth so no 'jumping' of tone as you near the correct pitch. They fitted perfectly, holes lined up etc. I'm very happy with these Rotomatics!
I was sincerely expecting more given their price. Very unreliable and unstable. I wish I had bought some knockoffs for 1/5 of the price. They couldn't have been worse.
