I needed more space on my kit so I got this to add a bell cymbal to, and I'm glad I did. The quality is very solid and there's not much to complain about, it does it's job and it does it well. All you need to do is screw it on on top of a cymbal rack where the nut would usually go, and you then have an extra slot up top to place an effect cymbal. I'd recommend this for bells or splashes, if you want a full sized 16" cymbal or something like that, you should go for the 6 inch variant as then you need a bit more space between the cymbals.

Good and not expensive compared to other brands

I already reviewed the 6"

This is the 4".

To be used by me to put on bottom cymbals that are not played on the cup (because it will require some precise play to reach the cup with this short stacker), and are at least 4" bigger than the top cymbal.

Very nice tool to expand a kit within it's footprint.
But in some setups with much vibrations, they will turn loose after a while. They won't fall off immediately. You'll see them jiggle a little.
But a drummer should know to tighten some of his hardware regularly.

Two cymbals on small space

I use it for my 10" splash on top of 16" crash. Little bit of accuracy needed for hitting only the 16" crash and also cant hit the bell of the 16". Otherwise great for getting cymbal in small space and no need for extra stands.

Useful bit of hardware

I bought this for making crash on china stacks. By adjusting the number of felts either side of each cymbal it provides quite a good amount of control over the sound, you can tighten up the top to have a shorter sound, or leave it open to have a more washy sound.
