There is in my mind no reason that sets of string should follow some mathematical logic, as most sets do. This is now on all my guitars because it feels great to have thicker lover E and A string so that you can dig in a bit but also it makes it easier to get that cello like sound. The lighter high E and B makes it easier to play trills and bends and why would you want to make it harder than necessary to play? It is said that they apparently changed the packaging from Yngwie logo that at time of purchase still was the picture Thomann used and exchanged it for a boring standard Fender package, but still the best string I have ever played.
