Expensive but worth it

I always had an aversion towards dressed strings. The ones I've tried before have been dull sounding, like dead strings. But these have almost the same clarity as stainless. A bit rounder in the highs, but it's actually for the better. And they last a really long time!
For me they feel awesome as well. Not as harsh on the fingers as stainless. More akin to the soft, slick feel of nickel plated strings.

(They might get a bit of a rubbery feel if you've got sweaty hands, but it does not hinder your fingers and they do not get sticky in any way)

They are made for 34" scale basses but work perfectly on a 35" top loaded. Sadly, not long enough to string through the body on a 35".

They sound awesome. They feel awesome. But they are a bit expensive.

Really good strings

These are some really really good strings, for your 5 string bass. they don't just look really cool, they feel amazing. and the tone from them are fantastic. I have found just one problem with them. On my active 5 string bass i have noiseless pick ups, which with these strings can be a problem. As soon as i put them on, my pick ups started buzzing and i found out that it was because of the strings. But otherwise i found these strings fantastic and i salute them highly and recommend them warmly. If you want some cool black bass strings, that sound fantastic, these are the strings for you. Fick vad jag ville ha

Jag ville ha svarta strängar som skulle passa min bas. Dessa förhöjde utseendet och är dessutom riktigt sköna att lira på. Jag är supernöjd

I'm not picky or demanding...

Which is why I gave this 5/5. It's my fourth set of strings I've ever bought, and thus far the best. Obviously black strings because Geezer Butler, but playwise they're very good (again, in a small comparison sample).
I don't play especially hard, but I alternate between pick and finger. The black coating hasn't really started to flake, even after quite a few hours of use. So far nothing but positive to say about durability and sound.

So if you're not very concious about the strings' relation to sound they're good. I am satisfied with getting the approximated sound - roughly the right territory, but that's because its usage is basement rock and metal through beverage soaked amps and players.
