Babicz FCH ST 2-Point Tremolo C

Jag var ute efter ett svajstall till min OLP luke kopia.
Jag måste säga att det måste nog vara det smartaste konstruktionen jag sett i ett svajstall.
Att justera och intonera var gjort på några minuter.
Jag har svårt att säga om tonen ändrats till det bättre eller sämre men jag är nöjd med slutresultatet.
Jag har till och med beställt ett Babicz till min Telecaster av den anledningen att intonering och justering är det bästa jag sett.

This is the second Babicz bridge I bought, and I am very satisfied with the resullts.
PROS:
The full-contact concept does work as promised, I feel more of the strings vibrations going into the guitar body (for instance, after replacing the bridge, the guitar sounds louder, brighter - unamplified). The difference is notable also when amplified
The trem is very stable for a non-locking system and stays in tune very well (please note I also changed the machine heads- went for Schaller locking machine heads).
Properly installed by a good luthier, it exponentially increased the sonic qualities of my guitar. From trills, small dives to deeper vibrato - it is an excellent choice for ST type guitars.
Very well built, strong and good quality materials

CONS:
More expensive than other tremolos, even though it is worth the effort
The brand BABICZ is written with HUGE letters and is VERY visible from all positions. Good for the manufacturer, I'd prefere it a bit more discrete
Not actually a con, more of a warning: see some tutorials before trying to set up action and intonation, it's a bit different from what you are used to

CONCLUSION:
I strongly recommend it to people looking for serious hardware on their guitar

I didn't believe the whole Full Contact Hardware marketing at first, but I took a chance on this bridge and my word.... I am floored. The added sustain is almost beyond belief. The quality is what you would expect at this price-point, robust and polished, and in my opinion this trem is quite elegant if you don't mind the giant Babicz logo that is vulgarly slapped across the top. The tremolo arm is a little longer than the standard Strat arm for added leverage and the blimp-like tip fits super comfortably into my palm. I will be putting this on my other Strats as well.

Ich wollte eine vor kurzem sehr günstig auf einem Gebraucht-Portal erworbene Ibanez SA160 ein bisschen aufmotzen und vorerst - da die Tonabnehmer eigentlich nicht soooo übel sind - mit Locking Tunern und einem neueu Tremolo beginnen. Das mit den Locking Tunern (Schaller M6 135) haute nicht so ganz hin (siehe Bewertung dort), also ran ans Tremolo. Nachdem das Babicz recht gute Bewertungen hier hat also bestellt und voller Erwartungen altes Tremolo ausgefädelt und neues hergenommen ... und dann die Ernüchterung: obwohl ST-Style-Gitarre ist doch die Montage des Trems offenbar immer unterschiedlich. Bei der Ibanez sind die Einschlagmuttern wesentlich weiter auseinander als für das Babicz benötigt - und der Umbau (alte Hardware ausbauen, neues Loch - das dann sicher ganz knapp neben, wenn nicht überhaupt direkt an die alte Öffnung angestanden wäre) hätte sich also nur sehr äufwändig gestalten lassen .. für eine reine Übungs- und Ersatzgitarre mit zu viel Aufwand.
Somit geht es leider zurück, auch wenn die Qualität absolut passt und das Tremolo an sich einen sehr wertigen Eindruck macht.
