Very nice but useless for heavy microphones

Super nice holder but unfortunately it has two design flaws that mean I can't use it with my microphone. I have a tube mic that is a copy of Telefunken's 251 and is therefore quite heavy. The spring loaded holders pads that are supposed to hold the microphone are too weak, which means that the microphone slowly slides out of the holder. In addition, the knob that holds the angle of the holder to the microphone stand is too weak so that it bends under the load if not tightened really super hard. This holder probably works well for lighter microphones, but for a heavy tube mic it is completely unusable. Too bad, because I like it otherwise.

Almost perfect!

I am using this Microphone Shock-Mount to record my wife (singing + ads) at our home "studio".

The mounting system is super simple - just push two levers, insert microphone, release the levers. That's it. I use Aston Spirit as the microphone and it's pretty heavy, yet the mount holds it in place perfectly well.

There are really no downsides, except that if you are not careful enough, you can bend the pop filter.

Overall, an awesome mount!

The curved shield gives one the freedom to move head slightly without ruining the take. It is a life-saver for those who experience this. And the way the mic "soars" in the middle; it's the best shockmount I've ever seen.

Je n'ai jamais autant regretté un achat. Visuellement l'anti-pop est très joli mais pour la suspension c'est 0/20. En plastique, impossible de lui faire confiance, le premier coup d'oeil vous assure sa mauvaise qualité. Qu'elle soit livrée avec un élastique de rechange veut tout dire : "une fois que le premier aura cédé sous le poids de votre micro qui se sera explosé en mille morceaux, vous pourrez changer l'élastique afin de réitérer l'expérience et de casser un deuxième micro", c'est du foutage de gueule.

Et en plus le micro ne tiens pas, il glisse le long de la suspension parce que les pinces ne sont pas assez fermes et les gommettes anti-dérapentes sont totalement dérapantes. Et attention pas besoin d'attendre : en 10 secondes seulement le micro tombera.
Donc si vous avez un micro lisse il tombera par terre et si vous avez un micro avec des commutateurs type Neumann U87 ou Aston Spirit, les commutateurs bloqueront le micro sur les anti-dérapants, puis sous pression (type levier) les commutateurs vont se casser et votre micro tombera inévitablement à son tour.

Achetez autre chose.
