Affordable phono preamp/digitizer with many features and connections in a small footprint. I bought it because it had a coax SP/DIF input which is difficult to find. My Stanton ST-150 has this digital connection and I intended to use the ART to digitalize some of my vinyl records. But the sound is a disappointment compared to when I connect through my Traktor S4's soundcard. Not as open and you can no longer separate out the instruments in the lower region. Since I am a hobby-DJ, the bass is important. I also found it difficult to set the gain correctly, but this is probably something that could be corrected in the post-processing with the software. I noticed that the ART's AD/DA specification is only 16 bit 44/48 khz which could be better. I am considering returning the ART preamp but cannot find any better alternative if I want to use the SP/DIF.
