I was playing coated Remo heads since I started learning drums. I really liked the warmth that those heads were providing but the quality of the coating.... if you hit anything more than moderate, or if you hit with the tip it's immediately gone... and tuning was not great either. I personally did not like the sound of Evans so I decided to give Aquarian a try.
The sound is very warm (only slightly less warm then Remo) and punchy. Very pleasant sounding and versatile heads.
The durability and look is amazing, hats off. It denies to get damaged even if you try to damage it. The coating simply does not wears out even after months. And the coating stays white throughout this time, it always look like new!
Tuning is also much better and they are cheaper than competitors.
Highly recommended!
Only problem you can face is with drum manufacturers that produce slightly oversized cells like f.e. Gretsch. It might get hard to fit it.
Pros: very nice, warm sound; extreme coating durability; nice tuning; looks like new all the time; cheaper than Remo/Evans
Cons: might be hard to fit in some cells
