This pedal makes any rig get that Ampeg tone. Which is great, if that's your thing. Soundwise, I have no complaints about the clean channel. I also appreciate the DI out which is very convenient for recording or for line out to a PA. It also has a through channel which can be useful for a second channel which needs to be unaffected by the preamp.
My least favourite feature of this pedal is the Scrambler overdrive, which has two problems: 1) it is generally lower in volume than the clean tone if not dimed which makes no sense, and 2) I don't really like the sound ofin, which is of course my opinion.
I would very much prefer a smaller pedal without the scrambler but with the DI intact, which doesn't seem to exist.
