Yamaha PM-7X Trumpet

This is the second silent brass mute I've owned, after using the larger first generation model for years. I'm very pleased with it - it's small enough to fit inside the bell for storage and is quiet enough for discreet use in your hotel room or even on stage. As you'd expect with most practice mutes the tuning can be a little suspicious - for me usually on the sharp side - but as long as you spend most of your practice time playing acoustically it shouldn't cause any long-term problems.

Really useful mute when you have to practice in silence by for instance late in the evening or to play a few notes before going to stage when it is not possible to play without mute.

I am not very impressed with this product - seems to play out of tune and the sound quality through the headphones is not as good as I expected. I would just use a normal practice mute which is much cheaper and easier.

This was so good I bought an SB7X system, it really sounds like you're playing the trumpet without a mute in it. Perfect tight fit in my trumpet, no chance of falling out. Very little effect on the open tone after use or attacks. Very quiet for neighbours!

Quality, used to live in a flat and this was just brilliant during lock down still using it for warm ups at rehearsals no disruption in air flow or pitch

nice shape, tight fit, very quiet, really good sound through 3335 trumpet and my earphones amplifier. Strongly recomended

The mute works perfectly fine, I m amazed.
