I bought this to use with some events I am and will be hosting. From the beginning I thought of renting, but then I figured I might as well just buy something, as I will most probably do more events in the future, and I can use it as an audio interface as well.
Anyway, the may concern I had was audio quality. And as far as I've tested it I've not had any problems at all with using it as a regular analog mixer. But when recording audio from basically anything to the RCA or XLR buses (which is what I've tried so far), I've felt that audio signal doesn't come out as strong via the audio interface, as I would have wanted. However, if you output via the master or monitor channel, that's not a problem. However, you don't have separate control for master and phones, which is a bit a of a let down.
I read somewhere that this mixer had stellar effects as well, but I don't agree. They're good, but not stellar.
As for the I/O part, you may as well notice that an usb cable is not included.
Other than that. It's really sturdy, all metal. And even though - very light. Knobs feel okay but of course they're a bit flimsy compared to more expensive gear. My only reference at home is my Denon MC2000, which has sturdier knobs as well. I'm not a fan of the separate PSU, but the connector cable is really heavy duty - that might count for something.
Overall, even though I sound critical, I'm very pleased with it. It does what I wanted it to do initially. But if I knew how the fx sounded and that the audio interface part is less good than I expected, I would have gone with the MG10 instead, which would have saved me some money.
