If you are looking to buy this MIDI cable, you probably want a neat and tidy cable to your MIDI device that is short enough. 30 centimeters is enough to, for example, connect a delay pedal to a MIDI controller while keeping the clutter away. I personally use it to connect a MIDI controller keyboard. There is nothing wrong with the quality, even though it is very affordable, and the black color is sleek and discreet.
I have not had any issues with signal loss, and the connectors have worked fine thus far (albeit with limited use). Should they break, it is extremely inexpensive to buy a new one anyway. Some argue that shorter cables are good for latency, but seeing as we are talking about the speed of light the difference is completely negligible unless you are Superman or Flash.
If on tour or gigging I would probably either buy a more expensive and sturdier option, or buy a couple of these (which is acceptable given the price). Perhaps the former, as you do not want to fiddle with cables that break in a live environement. In a home environment where you might never or rarely connect and disconnect the equipment it is a no brainer, just buy these and be happy.
