Things have really changed in recent years! There was a time when you had to pay three or four times as much to get this kind of sound quality. As an old-timer I'm pretty astonished at just how good these monitors are, considering the extremely affordable price.
They basically only have two weaknesses worth mentioning: the bass is nice and deep enough for any music that isn't extremely bass heavy, but the lowest bass is missing since it's just a 5" speaker, and the treble is slightly lacking in clarity.
But the essential midrange is flat and revealing, and the coaxial design gives excellent imaging and produces a sound that "holds together" even when you move around, making you feel less glued to the sweet spot while mixing. Some people don't really care about this, but to me it gives a more relaxed experience working with coaxial monitors.
Human voices come through especially clear with this monitor, and appear to come from an exact spot between the speakers. Very nice!
Two little friendly design choices I want to mention are (1) you can feed an aux signal from a phone or iPad into them without disconnecting your audio interface, and (2) there's a switch on the backside to enable or disable automatic standby.
PS. There's a gain knob on the front that could as well be glued in the minimum position, an audio interface produces a strong enough signal without any extra help.

I wanted to add that these speakers have a quality that is very desirable for a studio monitor, which is that good mixes sound amazing, whereas a problematic mix isn't given any mercy. They are also engaging and satisfying to listen to at low levels, so you aren't tempted to raise the volume, which helps preventing listening fatigue. In short, these are some excellent studio monitors!
There are actually *two* studios in my home, because both my wife and I make music! I have a pair of Kali Audio IN-5 in my studio, these Tannoys were bought as an upgrade for my wife's studio to replace her old monitors. The Kali monitors are very good, and I've been very happy with them, but they have a somewhat muddy lower midrange because of resonances in the thin enclosure. The Tannoys are better than the Kalis, with a much greater clarity in the midrange. So now I'm envious!
