Steinberger Guitars GT-Pro Deluxe BK

Short story:
Owned this some years now and I like it for the price.
Biggest gripe is that the bridge is mounted a little wonky on mine. This took me a long time to notice but I do think it impacts the function of the trem a little bit.
The pickups aren't great and in my case I'm not sure that I would upgrade but if the trem on mine was all good and I'd still have the same need for this guitar, I would definitely go for it.
Harley Bentons headless variants do look like a a better option if they where available back then but i bet this is smaler and also stil feels like a guitar.

Long story for context:
Bought this years ago since I liked the design of the Steinberger but little did I know that the little bugger would be of such great help to me and my acing back, shoulders and wrists. With this guitar I could keep on studying and preforming from time to time. For a while I was set on working my way to an old higher model Steiney one day. Luckily today I'm in better shape and can play other guitars again but I'll keep this one as my special tuning guitar.

I wanted a light guitar with a tremolo. I usually don't play 25.5" scale guitars. I prefer the shorter 24.75". However this guitar has a very nice neck with well made fretwork. No sharp edges and no fretbuzz even at very low stringhight. It's actually the most easy playing 25.5" I have played so far. First time I played it, it tilted forward a little (I don't mean neck heavy). Relocating the strapholder from under the neck to beside the neck sorted that out. The pickup's sound weak to my ears. I changed the bridge pickup to a ToneRider Generator and removed the middle singlecoil pickup. It was in the way of my picking and had a useless sound. The stock neck pickup has a weak but nice bluesy tone compared to the Generator. I would say that the overall sound of this guitar is bright and well defined. The tremolo works well and doesn't get the guitar out of tune. The paint is glossy but not sticky.
