I haven't seen a bad review of the Hellraiser. Is it really that good? In short - yes it is!
Pros:
-Flawless fit and finish.
-Immaculate fretjob. If you want really low action, you can.
-Sound is as expected. Has the typical "floyd" overtone.
-Sustainiac is more useful than expected. EVERY demo of the sustainiac always use it at its most extreme - making squealing noises with high gain. You can use it with low intensity setting and play your regular solos and they will sound "better". Use it on cleans and experiment with settings for interesting results.
-Good access to the 24:th fret.
Mostly nitpicking cons:
-I would't call the frets Xtra Jumbo - Jumbo at best.
-Both batteries were drained on delivery.
-The clear coat lacquer is of the sticky kind. If you live in warm humid climate, a satin neck job is recommended.
-The truss rod cover can't be removed, and the truss rod can't be accessed, without removing the string retainer first.
-The neck pickup position is sacrificed due to the sustainiac. There is a single coil pickup there, but the volume dropoff is significant due to the increased distance to the strings.
