I never quite understood the point with these locking mechanisms. The cable sits firmly enough in an ordinary jack. These locks makes the plug nearly impossible to disconnect without breaking either the cable, your fingers or parts of your rack. I suppose this can be a good thing in isolated events, but in a mobile rack where you need to connect and disconnect every gig, these are not recommended.

Solid and rigid and it has never failed me. Good access to the connectors which makes it easy to solder. I've used mine a lot for about six years and they show no sign of wear and they work like new, including the locking device.
