MXR The Duke of Tone

As they say its a half King of Tone , sounds really good and easy dial in.
Small TRIM pot inside for Prescence -you Cut CCW vs more bright Clockwise.
As Jim Dunlops homepage says,
'...running the pedal on 18V will give you an extra helping of headroom and clarity, especially in Boost mode. '
Difference in Signal level between the 3 switch modes - depends on how the signal is affected -
making OD , Boost or Dist.
They clip different or boost - the reason Dist signal
is higher here then OD out vs theoretical opposite is because how they have wired it compensated up Dist .

Have Set DOT - as always new OD - against my favourite Kernom Ridge - a draw but keep also the DUKE since so good sound while having Kernom tweaked all the time to different sounds.

Extra tips - Make it sound 'as the new MXR YJM ' pedal -
Set internal Prescence switch from delivered 12oclock to 9 oclock -
Then in OD mode Maximize Volume and Drive - Set prescence about 2-4 oclock .


The prize is also good, lot of more expensive pedals sounds lot worse.
