Since rototoms really just are tunable drumheads, the sound heavily depends on what drumheads you use, therefore i would recommend switching to something by your preference instead of using the ones that come with the set. I used them for almost 6 months and i couldn't say i liked them very much and they eventually broke, however they worked. Once i switched to Remo CS Clears the sound drastically improved.
Other than that it really gets the job done. The mount and etc are relatively stable but absolutely works, it wiggles sometimes but is definitely not unstable by any means.
The heads are kept in tune very well and don't need to be tuned very often which is a perk even though they are very easily tuned nonetheless.
I would say this is the most idealistic set overall since the other rototoms cost several hundred dollars, i just think they aren't worth it unless you work professionally. This set is really all you need, change the heads though if you can but it's not a "must" do straight away. I can really recommend this
