Solid and heavy counterweight

The end handle of my K&M Mic stand was removable. I popped it off, inserted the counterweight and then put the handle back on. Now I have a stand that can easily handle heavy mics.

The unit itself is very solid and well-built.

Does the job perfectly

For bigger boom mic stands from k&m this little dude, and maybe another one, does the job of perfectly counter weighing really heavy mics (1 kg Coles 4038 for instance) so that you smoothly can record with all those mics up in the air over the drums, a choir or other.
