Great for Sennheiser wireless transmitters

I chose this plug to build a custom cable for my Sennheiser Evolution G1 transmitter, to replace my low quality original Sennheiser moulded cable that had gone dead.

It is a high quality plug, and it works great with the Sennheiser unit (no noise when shaking it).

Only drawback is that it only takes cables up to 5.7mm diameter. So I had to work around this limitation to use the Sommer The Spirit cable (8mm dia.) that I also ordered. Nothing an appropriate quantity of hot-shrinkable sleeve won't solve... Add a Neutrik 6.35mm plug in the mix, and get your sound back, wireless !!

Very good materials, very good construction, but at least for Sony UWP-D the thread of the locking nut is a bit too long.
Even when fully screwed in, while the threaded nut does not move one bit, the part with the plug may rotate freely in the jack and may move in and out by about half a millimeter. The jack of the original Sony UWP microphones does not move or rotate when the thread is fully screwed.
I cannot comment about Sennheiser, maybe they have better compatibility there, but for Sony UWP bodypacks this is less than ideal.

Great quality connector with traditional solder tabs. Aside from the screw thread, what makes these special is that they aren't tapered at the cable end at all, and therefore will accept cables of up to 6mm outside diameter (6,8mm for the female version) without having to drill them -- but you'll need to get creative for the crimp tabs to work. When combined with HI-J35S-SCREW-F, these can be used to make extremely rugged stereo/balanced extension cables that will run great lengths and not ever come apart.

A good plug for Sennheiser G2/G3 radios. Does not have any cable strain relief which is disappointing & the screw ring can fall of the plug altogether if over tightened or if it is pulled hard enough. In saying that the Sennheiser OEM plugs are 4 times the price.

As the title says, I use them as a replacement on sennheiser wireless packs. Its way cheaper than sennheisers OEM replacements and slightly lower profile too. The build quality is nice, I had no trouble soldering and I have faith that it will be durable in the field.
