The way the TE-90FLT sounds is incredible. It's nothing you'd expect from a Tele-style guitar. The Roswell pickups performs really well. The sound is warm and round and when you push the gain it remains distinct without getting mushy. The sustain of the guitar is also surprisingly good.
The body seems to be a beautifully bookmatched but at closer inspection it certainly looks likes it's a 3 piece body with a veneer top. Not quite what one would expect. The Thomann description mentions nothing about a veneered top. In fact the guitar they've decided to picture clearly has a 3 piece to without a veneer top. I'm not very pleased with getting a veneered top while expecting a true solid ash body, even if it's 3 pieces. It looks beautiful though. I can't say for sure that they all are veneered but mine clearly is. so at least be aware of it.
The neck is a bit rougher than the HB rosewood F-type necks I have. The frets aren't seated as good and there are some sharp frets. A little work and it's fixed though.
The setup was terrible. The action was as high as it can be. The truss rod needed som adjustment too. It's not hard to fix but I'd expect better from the box.
Overall all it's a wonderful guitar. It feels and sounds great. Build quality is acceptable for this price range but it could need a better QC.
