The Hardcase HN12T Tom Case does everything I expected it to do perfectly.
I thought about getting those SKB cases which have complete inside cushioning - the Hardcase cases only have a few pieces of foam on top and bottom of the inside. But I never found this to be a problem.
And since hardcase is a little bit cheaper but still professional the choice was not difficult to make.
I also thought about those softer bags which again are cheaper. But I wanted the security during transport.
The only three things you need to know:
-The outside of the material is a little bit slippery. You defenitively can't grab them well anywhere else than at the handles (which is ok, I think).
-The edges of the top pieces are quite sharp. If you're hauling a large tom or bd you might want to wear long pants ;-)
- The bigger they are the heavier they are ;-) It definitively adds weight to your 22" bd, but those large cases have wheels.
To sum it up: I can really recommend theses cases to the drummer on the road.
I am going to stick with these cases and have one for nearly all of my drums now.
