Any capo will work better if the radius fits the guitar. That being said, this one is lightweight, comes off (and on) in a snap and is good looking to boot. :)
Of this capo I like that is small and doesn't get in the way of your playing.
But has the defect that you have to adjust the screw for different position of the neck and different guitars.
Also a spring type capo is much faster to reposition.
It does his job and is well built, but I was expecting more.
I use a capo all the time on my acoustic and have been a loyal Shubb fan since picking up the guitar.
This G7th capo is much more user friendly and gives a solid grasp when clipped on. Open strings have much more sustain when using this G7th and it just looks good too.
After reading many positive reviews of G7th capos I'm glad I bought one. I've not experienced any negative aspects of using it so far, I'm sure I won't.
I had the G7th Performance 3 and I found that the clamping strength was a bit weak and the capo started to tilt/drift position, which affected the sound. The Newport one works better for me because I can adjust the strength. Not sure if this is the best one out there though.
