Dunlop Big Stubby Nylon 2,00

I have long fingers and I wanted to go "all in" on a thick and reliable pick. I had read good things about the "Big Stubby" and decided to give it a go. However, it didn't really please me too much and even though it's definitely a thick pick, it feels kind of small and the indentation in the middle is really a challenge to get used to. On the positive side, it's not as hard or harsh as other thick picks I've used, it's made of a softer kind of rubber, so the sound coming off the strings is much softer, almost muted and the general playing feel is more forgiving. I would guess this is more of a bass guitar pick than anything else, and while it does what it's supposed to do it doesn't sit very well in my grip as it's kind of "wobbly" to the touch. It comes down to personal preference in the end, the quality is great but this pick is not for everyone.

Jag har tidigare testat att spela med orginalversion av Big Stubby men jag har aldrig riktigt fastnat för dem. Jag vill ha lite flexibilitet i mina plektrum och de i hårdplast är för stela för min smak.
Men annars gillar jag formen på dem och därför blev jag nyfiken när jag såg att de kommit i en nylonvariant så jag var bara tvungen att testa.

Det visade sig att det var precis den förändringen som behövdes för att det skulle passa mig!
Normalt spelar jag med standard Dunlop 1mm nylon, men ibland behövs det lite större och kraftigare plektrum. Som när jag spelar mandolin tex.
Detta plektrum är perfekt för mandolin. Men det funkar också jättebra att spela solo på elgitarr med.

Lätt att få till ett bra tremolo och dessutom bekvämt att hålla i.
