I love picks! I have played guitar rather much for over 40 years. Picks is important for the tone and for the feel of contact with the string(s). I change pick type every two or three years or so and was recently into a change. I really tried four different thicknesses of this "Dunlop Flow Standard Pick" from 0.88 mm to 2 mm and liked the 1 mm most. They give a bright "snap" to the sound that I like. They are also good for playing with one of the rounded corners. When I do that, playing soft gives a warner sound, and playing harder, especially when playing chords, gives a powerful clarity to the sound with presence...
I wonder if these will be my picks for a couple of years from now... or maybe longer...
