beyerdynamic DT-880 Pro Black Edition

Great headphones, sound great, are comfortable and seem to be built extraordinarily well. The only problem is the coiled cable, which is a bit of a pain in the ass, but apart from that, it's perfect!

Replaced my ATH50 with this one in my home studio, a very solid build. Requires a proper sound card that can drive the headphones due to their medium/high impedance (250). They are not travel friendly in any way shape or form, can't be folded so just be aware of that. Also, if you're coming from the ATH50-world, please note the difference in mid-range response. Takes some getting used to, but I like my new normal. :-)

I'm using these for recording and mixing as well as for listening to music. They perform very well, I haven't owned a lot of different high end earphones so I can't really do any comparisons for you. I can however compare with the sound from my KRK VXT6 pair and I have to say thay complement each other perfectly in a mixing environment.

Impressive resolution and stereo width. Very detailed sound.

The treble peak is not to be taken lightly, though. I find music with any type of harshness in the treble painful to listen to. Like, anything with hard hitting natural sounding cymbals. Which is the type of music I work with. It can be fixed with EQ, but i need them to work out of the box. Too bad, because in all other aspects they sound incredible.

I found them to put uncomfortable pressure on the jaw.

Construction-wise they feel solid. The only minus is the cable which is not detachable.

I use these everyday in my studio work and also when i soundcheck myself for my singer/songwriter gigs around town.

Crisp, honest sound makes for mixes that translate incredibly well to other systems. The bass response took me a little while to get used to, but at the same time when I did it was superior (for translating to other systems) to anything I've mixed on before.

Very comfortable, even for long periods of time, which to me is a gamebreaker.

Det behöves en ordentlig hörlursförstärkare för att få ut hela potentialen ur lurarna men det är riktigt bra ljud och dom är sköna att ha på sig.

Ett minus för den fast sladden, vill gärna kunna byta efter behov.

Det är absolut de bästa hörlurarna jag har köpt, använder endast dessa nu för tiden.
Har slutat använda mina högtalare eftersom att det så mycket bättre ljud med dessa hörlurar.

Bra att kunna ha med sig sin lyssning vart man än är och ha något man är van vid som referenspunkt och förstår vad för ljudbild man har att göra med. Alltid något att falla tillbaka på om övriga monitorer inte är bekanta.

Exellent clarety. Very detailed sound. Can wear them for hours/days. The sound is a bit thin and sharp. But once u understand them they're wonderful.

Need amp to get the most out of em.

I use them for mixing and day to day use.

Had em for 2 years now and cant say Im not pleased.

Skitbra lurar som ger en ärlig ljudbild med bra respons inom low-end! Det enda lilla jag har att klaga på är att de skaver öronen efter långa sessioner, annars helt felfria!
