Nice positive connection. Spring-loaded contacts are quite strong. These are of comparitive quality to ones sold at twice the price or more by the large electrical wholesale companies. Ideal for adding an external speaker jack to a small combo amp even though you are only using two of the contacts rather than as a stereo socket.

I purchased these for a small Stage box that I was making for a fixed installation in a local school. The connectors are good quality and worked perfectly. The metal that my box was made of was quite thin and I had to add an additional washer to stop the sockets rotating. Not a fault with the jack sockets, just something to be aware of.

The Adam Hall 1/4” jack socket has convinced me. It can be installed isolated due to the included spacer rings in different thickness plates. Solder tails are large and can be soldered very well. Since the body is made of plastic the soldering process should not take too long. The socket is inexpensive (2 pieces) with good quality.
